Yukistar smiled. Her clan was doing well. She felt a little sorry for Oceanclan. But after seeing Obsidian leave, she quickly chased after her.

Sighing, Snowstep walked around. She had not that much to do, really. All the stores were stocked full, she didn't have an apprentice to deal with, and no one was injured or sick. The mute she-cat layed down, hoping the sun would peek through the cloudy skies.

Obsidianshard got dragged back into camp by Yukistar, her body covered in swipes and scratches. her Golden eyes opened a little as she mewed with pain, she fell off yukistar and stood up slowly. everysingle muscle aching, she was thankfull that Flameclaw was not here. she didnt think she could bear the shame of him knowing that she had been bested by the kittypet graveclan cat snakeheart. Obsidianshard had never felt so alone, only Yukistar had cared that she had left. the others too busy wrapped up in each other. Flameclaw didnt love her, he loved the beautiful deputy Sootflower. Obsidianshard was well aware that not many cats would call her beautiful. her changefull nature generally scaring cats off. sometimes she could be nice then the next minute she was a cold ball of raging fur. she stood and dragged herself toward the warriors den.

Graypaw nodded to Larkstorm and started padding away towards the entrance of camp. He was now a full grown tom, and he had been waiting to become a warrior for a while now. The ash-colored apprentice sighed and headed out to fulfill his mentor's orders.

Larkstorm sighed and padded over to Obsidianshard, wondering what happened. "You should go see Snowstep, you don't look well." The calico she-cat blocked the way into the Warrior's Den and waited for the bombay's response. Her eyes were wide with general curiousity.

Obsidianshard drew herself up and hid her emotions with a casual flick of her black ears. she replied in a cool courteus tone "i thank you for your concern, but i am quite fine". she stood tall and proud. having locked away her inner turmoil. she lashed her long tail with a slightly grumpy look.

The older warrior didn't move, but now shot back an irritated stare at Obsidianshard. "I'm not letting you into the Warrior's Den until you see Snowstep. You've been gone for a while, who knows, you could have caught a disease." THe calico she-cat turned to look at the silver Medicine Cat across the clearing. "Snowstep come here please and take a look at Obsidianshard."

"Go see her."she said with a slight glare. But when Larkstorm called for the medicine cat, she gave a slight nod.

Larkstorm turned to Yukistar and padded over, dipping her head in greeting. "I think Graypaw should become a warrior. It's long over due." The calico she-cat requested, hoping her leader would agree. "I sent him on a border patrol and he is picking up prey. He'll be back soon."

Obsidianshard hissed at the insult of suggesting that she had diseases. she had been back with the clan for some time now! with a lash of her tail the black bombay slipped out of the clearing, she felt so withstrained by her emotions. all she felt was hurt and loss. like she was slipping into a darker and darker abyss.

Yukistar gave an approving nod. "Yes. That will do. I shall make him an apprentice from when he gets back."she said. "Which border did he go to?"she asked then turned away."If it's the Graveclan border then call him back."she said with a rougher tone.

The calico she-cat became confused, but nodded and went off through the entrance to fetch her apprentice. Hopefully he hadn't gotten himself into trouble so far. "Yes Yukistar." She called and was out the entrance. Her tail whisked out behind her.

Obsidianshard slunk into the darkest corner of the camp. her eyes staring out with a darkness. She was lost in the abyss of torture and pain. anyone could have seen the hurt that was on her muzzel.

The short-tempered Medicine Cat tried to hiss out of annoyance, but only a hollow airy sound escaped her throat. It was kind of creepy, the sound, but that's what happened when she would try and talk. Snowstep had heard her voice once when she was dreaming, that's the only place she can talk.

She brought a bundle of herbs toward Obsidianshard, and pushed some toward her to eat while she chewed up another pile into a pulp. The silver she-cat then rubbed the mixture into any cuts and over any bruises.

Sootflower walked into the camp, and layed her catch on the fresh-kill pile. The winter moons had been kind to her Clan. The dual colored she-cat bounded over to Yukistar, wanting to discuss the kit matter. "Yukistar, the Clan hasn't had many kits for a while. I have an idea." She paused. "Maybe we can set Flameclaw and Obsidianshard to patrols together, maybe there will be a spark."

Her eyes lit, it was a good idea. Plus, she already knew the other bombay like the ginger warrior. "Or, we could always steal from another Clan. But that'd be a very bad idea." She yipped in rather quickly.

Flameclaw did the same as Sootflower, but then padded over to sit by Snowstep. He watched as she tended to Obsidianshard's wounds. "Hey." He meowed, aiming his greeting at either of them. The dark ginger tom looked at the bombay, and shook out his fur. He wondered why no one was being very friendly to her. What had she done?

Graypaw came through the entrance, wondering why Yukistar had called them back. Besides the fact, he noticed the camp was normal. So nothing could be wrong. He saw Sootflower talking to the Leader, so he didn't walk over there. He kept to the middle of camp and sprawled out in the sun to stay warm.

"No."growled Yuki. "Never steal kits."she said with a growl in her tone.

"hey flameclaw". Came the heartwrenching sadness in her mew as she replied. she stared stubbornly at her paws. refusing to look at anyone, maybe she should just leave the clan and let them all be happy without her. she flicked the very tip of her tail as she thought about this idea. then again if she did leave she would probbaly have to become a rouge. her eyes dulled even further as she fell deeper into what she was calling the abyss. she had long since given up trying to fight it, everyone pretty much loathed her. Lark had even gone as far to say that she had diseases and wasnt safe for the rest of teh clan to be around. The last of her spirit had been crushed when she had been attacked so ferociously by Graveclan. she was a broken soul... there was nothing left, just a shell of a once spirited sweet and deadly assassin of a cat.

Sootflower nodded, her eyes immediately shifting. "We might want to start heading to the Gathering." The black and white she-cat meowed. She wasn't even sure if Yukistar had planned to go to the Gathering. Everything had been so chaotic in FireClan lately, as if the Clan was falling apart. Yukistar was out less and less, and sometimes the Clan looked to her for instruction.

Larkstorm caught up to camp quickly, knowing the Gathering was that night. She padded up to Yukistar and Sootflower, "Graypaw is going to have his ceremony before the Gathering right?" The calico she-cat looked back over her shoulder to see if the ashen apprentice had gotten back yet.

"The Gathering has already started, they'll be missing us." The dark ginger tom meowed from across the Clearing. If Yukistar started skipping Gatherings, did that mean FireClan was denying contact with the other three? His leader was barely ever around now a days. He wondered if Sootflower would take over leadership if Yukistar backed away.

The sleek black cat stared at her paws before she turned and began heading toward the gathering. she was going whether Yukistar was going or not. in her opinion the old white she cat was going slightly nuts. she lashed her tail and slunk off.

The ashen colored apprentice was restless to go to the Gathering. His yellow eyes darted back and forth between the cats in the clearing, what were they going to do? Yukistar was not giving them orders like a leader should, she was barely mentally present? He thought Sootflower should take the reigns of FireClan. But before he could think another thought, Obsidianshard walked out the entrance. Graypaw followed.

Snowstep flattened her ears in annoyance as she saw two warriors leave without Yukistar's consent. How typical, FireClan was falling apart in her opinion. They took more orders from Sootflower and Larkstorm than Yukistar. The white she-cat was barely even with the Clan unless neccesarry.
