Apprentice Den

Featherpaw woke early, like she always had in her Housefolk's nest. But she was surprised that Oakpaw hadn't woken yet either. The snow-hued apprentice sat still for a moment, listening. She heard the crunch ice beneath the paws of dogs in Twolegplace, scuttering of mice by the Galiath Patch, and the faint whisper of three cats... What? H-how could that be possible? There seemed to be tension beneath the cats.

The dual-colored she-cat had an idea. She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on the group of cats. Her ears flattened as their whispering grew into talking. Then... then... there they were. Featherpaw could see them. A thick furred white she-cat, a sleek-furred silver she-cat, then a little bit away she saw a tawny she-cat that looked a bit like Lilystar, and finally a dark oriental tom. The tawny she-cat as speaking, she was talking about an attack-- on OceanClan.
