FC Center clearing

The center clearing is where the fresh kill pile and other things that aren't in dens go. This is also a place where kits can play.

Yukistar padded out of the medicine den and over to the fresh kill pile. She looked at the amount and nodded. "This will last us till new leaf."she thought to herself.

The black and white she-cat paced in front of the Warrior's den, her mind racing. 'Hurry up Flameclaw!' She thought briskly. 'We need to leave!' The deputy had scheduled that her and Flameclaw take a sunhigh patrol to the SkyClan border. Relations with the mysterious Clan were usual, firm and thorough. "Flameclaw!" She yowled into the den.

Sootflower's fur ruffled as she saw the mute Medicine Cat bound away through the camp entrance. 'Wonder where she'd off to.' She added to her thinking. The calico had always been fond of the silver cat, but never had time to speak with her. The deputy always had her paws full. Good thing she didn't have an apprentice.

"Yes, Sootflower, I'm coming." The dark ginger tom called back. He was lying in his nest, licking his chops. His long fur was free of moss and the warrior rose to his paws before stalking out of the den. Flameclaw's green eyes skimmed over the calico longingly before sighing and bounding away to the border. -She's too busy to have a mate...- He thought.

Yukistar watched as they left. "What are they up to now?"she huffed. "I can't just leave camp to follow them, then again, maybe I can."she thought to herself. Running after them, she probably overtook them without notice.

The gray tabby circled around in the clearing, waiting for his mentor. He had become an apprentice recently but was learning fast. His yellow eyes scanned the camp, only to see regular daily life. Graypaw realized that Yukistar, Sootflower, and Flameclaw must've gone on a patrol.

As Sootflower entered, she nodded to Larkstorm as she left from the Warrior's Den and to Graypaw who would be following her any second now. That apprentice was full of excitement wasn't he? Hmm? The she-cat chuckled and stood still to watch the empty camp for a few moments.

Yukistar padded into camp looked to Sootflower. "We're going on a little battle."said the Fireclan leader. "Flameclaw, Sootflower and Larkstorm. Follow me."she meowed. 'Graypaw, I expect you to stay out of trouble. Help Snowstep if she needs anything."she said. "Let's go."

The silver she-cat flicked her tail toward Graypaw for him to follow her to the Medicine Cat den, her eyes watching him. She flattened her ears and rolled her eyes before bounding off to her den.

The multi-colored she-cat nodded and raced away after Yukistar. This would be interesting, usually SkyClan fought with OceanClan and FireClan fought with GraveClan. But not this time, maybe she could get something out of it.

Yukistar padded in singing a little song. Not many understood her though.

She sang softly and padded to the middle of the center clearing.

The gray apprentice padded up to his leader after they returned and mewed, "What happened?" His yellow eyes were wide with interest, but he didn't know wether or not she'd tell him. Had they won? Lost? Tied? "You don't seem injured." He pointed out.

Snowstep appeared from her den with leaf bundles craddled in her jaws. The silver she-cat set them down and padded over to Yukistar and started giving the Leader a good sniff. Her eyes were narrowed, her Clan Leader hadn't been injured in the fight.

Yukistar looked to both of them. "I couldn't the battle ended as soon as I arrived."she said. Her ears perked at StarClan's few words from before. "I wonder why SkyClan wanted to attack Oceanclan anyway. Maplewing didn't tell me that."she murmured.

The black and white she-cat wandered into the clearing, her eyes still wide in distress. Her pelt was covered in wounds, and her eyes were watering and full of grit. Sootflower padded around until she made it to a low hanging fern. She slumped to the ground and stared at her paws.

The dark ginger warrior padded in after the bombay shecat. His left ear was torn to a nub, and he had two large gashes across his flank from the GraveClan warrior, Snakeheart. Flameclaw watched as Sootflower carried herself away from the cats and into a sheltered area.

"It's alright, you didn't mean to kill him." He mewed soothingly. The senior warrior's green eyes were soft, he had feelings for the she-cat but knew that if Yukistar found out.... Sootflower could be demoted from deputy. She had worked so hard to achieve that rank, he wouldn't take it away.

The calico she-cat paced in the camp, she had a mouse a tail-length away from her. She had yet to touch a morsel. "Yukistar, what now? Are we going to go to the Gathering?" The warrior's mew seemed petryfied.

"Snowstep! Everyone is here, c'mon out." The gray apprentice called out, his voice shrill when he yelled the Medicine Cat's name. He bounded toward his mentor and rested his tail on her shoulder, trying to be comforting. "Relax, Larkstorm." Graypaw whispered before padding on to Flameclaw and Sootflower.

The silver Medicine Cat padded out of the clearing, her teeth barred in annoyance at the gray apprentice. She was dragging along leaf bundles and first stopped by Larkstorm. Snowstep chewed up a marigold poultice and applied in gingerly to any wounds she saw. Afterwards, she skipped over to Sootflower and Flameclaw. Her eyes narrowed sternly at the apprentice before she want to work.

She pushed moss and cobwebs gently into Flameclaw's gashes and licked away the dried blood on his mauled ear. The Medicine Cat then dabbed on a colt's foot pulp on the wound before turning to Sootflower.

The she-cat skimmed over the bombay and rubbed marigold poultice on any scrapes and bites she found, and nodded when she finished. Snowstep walked across the clearing to Yukistar and flicked her ears in astonishment, she didn't have a scratch.

ObsidianShard appeared, thin and gaunt, she had been missing for a moon. now she looked like she had been dragged over glass. a thin defeated look was in her once vibrant eyes. tears fell from her face as she half collapsed in camp. her eyes closing in tears.

Yukistar frowned. She looked to the moon. "You few had a rough time."she said. "We shall not go."she said. Yuki heard footsteps and saw Obsidianshard. "Obsidian! Welcome back!"she said in shock.

Obsidianshard grabbed a hold of herself and stood her tail lashing "im sorry to bother you ill return to patrolling the borders". her amber eyes glittered, as she then turned and leapt of with a swiftness to her run.

Sootflower lifted her head at Obsidianshard's appearance. The bombay smiled at her old friend, then the memories of the battle returned. Six moons, and still a day didn't go by where she didn't think about Badgerstripe. She looked to the dark ginger warrior standing beside her, "Hey, let's go hunting."

Flameclaw widdened his green eyes in happiness. Sootflower was always one to stay on business, but it seemed like she was trying to get away from the past and move on from hurt feelings. "Alright!" He mewed and bounded after her toward the fern tunnel. He hoped Obsidianshard wasn't getting into any trouble though. She always had as an apprentice..

Larkstorm padded up to Graypaw, her look full of pride. She was about to go to Yukistar and request her apprentice be made a warrior. He had trained hard, and was very respectful to everyone in camp. But before she went to speak with her Leader, she was going to send Graypaw on an expedition. "Go and patrol the GraveClan border and bring back some prey on the way. You are allowed to eat while you're out."
