Lionkit stopped dead at the view. It was horrible, he couldn't bare to look, but he couldn't pull himself away. The golden cat moved forward more slowly, joining his brother beside the body. His yellow eyes were also that of his family's name, and he settled beside her, and buried hismuzzle in her cold and wet fur.

Spottedface pulled into the Clearing and gasped. The bengal she-cat ran to the fallen leader and sniffed. Her view visibly slackened. She looked at the kits and let them grieve for several more minutes. The Medicine Cat only watched and waited, then stepped forward and dragged Lilystar to where she were to be buried, and rested her peacefully.

"Where is Creekfeather?" She asked warily, knowing the tom would now be leader of this Clan.

Kestrelpaw had acted like his mentor. He gasped, waited, then buried. The new Medicine Cat Apprentice looked around, realizing how many cats were out and how many were here. Lilystar must;ve been protecting the nursery from the looks of it, but he wasn't sure why. "I don't know." He replied to Spottedface's question. "Maybe out on patrol."

**Creekstar** Sat Mar 23, 2013 10:25 am

Creekstar walked through the camp entrance, his mask showing signs of despair for Lilystar. "I'm here." He meowed hoarsely. "I traveled to the moonstone already." The oriental cat looked around at the familar faces, "Don't worry. Creekstar won't let OceanClan fall to weak standards." He leapt onto High Stone and meowed outwardly. "We must stay strong. So I'm going to be sending more patrols, and I will name a deputy as soon as possible." The tom realized the only cat able to be a deputy was Owlthroat. He rolled his eyes, he'd change that as soon as possible.

Silverpaw watched with wide eyes but stayed silent, keeping her misery within. she shook her head and stared at her paws before she stood and looked around for cedarpaw. she frowned staring up at the sky wondering wether her mother would visit her dreams tonight. she lay down and tucked her face under her paws.

Featherpool looked up to see the end of the new leader's speech. The silver she-cat wondered who would be deputy. Her kits would be apprentices soon, and she had an apprentice of her own. This meant that she was eligable for deputy, but Creekstar would more likely Owlthroat than a queen.

Rainkit walked out and stared around with wide blue eyes, she noticed that birchkit was missing. was he in the nursery? she glared at the other kits with hurt. she watched her mother interact with the others and wondered why she didnt fit in. her chest hurt she scampered into a corner of the camp and watched. her blue eyes glittering with resentment.

Nightkit looked up to Creekstar, admiration flickering in his eyes. The oriental tom before him was able to get past grief and lead the Clan that needed new governing. The jet black tom, from that moment, swore loyalty to this Clan and Creekstar, as long as they were justified. The tom turned toward his fallen sibling and said, "It'll be alright, Creekstar will keep the Clan strong."

Lionkit turned and glanced at his older brother. He didn't want to think that his mother was dead, but it seemed obvious that she was. The golden furred tom looked back over his shoulder toward Creekstar, not feeling so sure with the tom. What was going to happen if Creekstar went a little out-of-hand like Lilystar? His yellow eyes flared up, ignorant of the fact that soon, all of Lilystar's blood would become famous, for the deceased she-cat, had actually been kin of both Ancient Leaders, Skystar and Oceanstar.

Spottedface sighed, he was already leader. The bengal she-cat glanced up at the oriental tom, and dipped her head in respect and loyalty to the new leader. Soon, they'd have to take the batch of apprentices to the Moonpool as well, they are unable to become warriors without such visit. The she-cat turned to Kestrelpaw, "Young one, go find Owlthroat and your siblings, bring them back here."

Creekstar glanced around and realized that some of the cats were looking at him uncertainly. He sighed inaudably and called out, "I say these words before StarClan so that they may hear and approve my choice." He paused. "Owlthroat will be the new deputy of OceanClan." The oriental didn't seem to approve of the ashen tom himself, so he sneered quietly.

Rainkit stared at Creekstar, looking like Bluestar from times gone bye. Her hard blue eyes were sheets of ice. she didnt hate him she felt cut off from the world. she wanted a fire to burn the ice and make her feel loved. her siblings loved each other mroe than they loved her. they hated her as far as she could read. she lashed her blue tail, a look in her eyes that was critical. loyalty to Creekstar, if he treated her right.

Ashpaw sat down. He liked to watch the sun set and cast it's shadow on the world around him. The tom sighed and looked around him. He hoped that he would find a friend in his clan soon. Ashpaw wondered if he would ever be a warrior. He shrugged and continued to think.

Kestrelpaw nodded toward his mentor and made off for the camp entrance. He walked past Ashpaw, who had yet to recieve a mentor, and threw a smile at him. The ashen apprentice looked somewhat like the new Clan deputy, Owlthroat. But the Medicine Cat apprentice knew they were not related in any way.

Ashpaw smiled back at Kestrelpaw. He wondered where he was going. Curious, the new apprentice decided to follow him. "This should be fun." Ashpaw muttered. The young tom dabbed lazily at a flower until Kestrelpaw was out of view, then followed him.

Cedarpaw slammed through the camp entrance and flew his eyes around. Where was she? Where was her body? Was she buried already? He hissed furiously and went to the burial area at the edge of the clearing tos ee a newly covered spot. He meowed mournfully and pressed his head against the dirt, he had never wished his mother to be dead when he didn't defend her.

Silverpaw lifted her head and yawned stretching her jaws, she awoke from her slumber and frowned staring around. she noticed cedarpaw and walked over to him. noticing him act sad she gently rubbed her head against his side.

Ashpaw padded into the clearing. He saw Cedarpaw and Silverpaw sitting sadly over something. Not wanting to disturb them, he stayed at the edge of the clearing. The yong tom didn't want to disturb anyone in a time of mourning.

Featherpool glanced at Cedarpaw. The poor apprentice had been out at practice when his mother was killed. She walked over to the toyger and rested her tail on his shoulder and licked his head comfortingly. "It'll be okay, little one." She said, her blue eyes full of pain. Lilystar had been her mentor when she was that young, she'd been close to the tawny she-cat.

Nightkit turned his head when he heard Cedarpaw barge through the entrance. He felt bad for his older half brother. The black tom padded over to the toyger and sat on the other side of him. He licked the cat's ear and walked back toward Ashpaw. "Who do you think will be your mentor?" He paused. "The only possible cat is Creekstar himself."

Squirrelpaw pushed through the ferns slowly, after her brother errupted through them. She glanced over at her mother's grave and only looked away, closing her eyes. Oakfrost had betrayed them, and he would not be here to mourn for their mother. She vowed, 'I will never forgive you, Oakfrost. You're my enemy now.'

The ginger she-cat walked over to Nightkit and Ashpaw, and replied. "No, Creekstar is my mentor. Ashpaw won't be able to recieve a mentor unless OceanClan gets more warriors. Sadly, you won't become a warrior unless you tag along on hunting trips and battle practices with us. Maybe they'll all take turns mentoring you."

Squirrelpaw had never thought about liking someone, but the way Ashoaw's shyness touched her, made her feel strange. She wanted to walk over and lick his ear. The fierce apprentice flicked away the spot, and stood where she was, her expression hard. She would never let Ashpaw know. She wasn't going to have a mate, right? Kits were too annoying...

Owlthroat looked and saw the Clan scattered wearily in the Clearing, Creekstar looking down at them. He doesn't belong there. The ashen tom wanted to fling himself into the ocean, but he kne better than that. The new deputy merely looked around, unaware of the title given to him. He went over to Lionkit and started licking his son's head.

Lionkit glanced up to his father, and wondered what he was going to do. The deputy organized patrols, and everyone needed to take their minds off of Lilystar's death. The golden tom lookde around, then turned back to the ashen adult. "You're the deputy." He whispered, trying to pull Owlthroat out of his trance.

The she-cat sighed and looked around. She should be getting to teaching Kestrelpaw more about the herbs. The bengal cat started heading to the Medicine Cat, but stopped when she hadn't summoned the apprentice to follow her. "C'mon Kestrelpaw." She meowed then continued forward.

Creekstar glanced at the incoming cats. Good, now they were all here. Sighing, he leapt down and padded toward the sulken Rainkit. He needed as many loyal cats behind him, so becoming their friend and being close to them was key. He came up to the she-cat and said, "What's wrong, child?" He paused, his one good eye glancing over at the other kits. "Why not play with your den-mates?"
