The savannah cat watched the cats from the shadows, he had just come from the border and he had liked the scent of this territory better. his claws sheathed then unsheathed into the slightly peaty ground. his eyes watched the cat that seemed to be the leader return to camp.

The dark tabby bounded through the dying and ashen trees, he had to tell Heathercloud that Brackenstar had died. The she-cat was out and probably training Goosepaw. It's about time that tom was made a warrior. He leapt over a fallen branch and stopped abruptly when an unfamilar scent hit his nose. A growl erupted from his throat and he stalked slowly through the undergrowth, night was on his side. The dark was a GraveClan cat's best friend when it came to an ambush. Eaglestar emerged behind a large fern and watched with piercing yellow-green eyes on the savannah cat. He saw the remains of a kittypet collar and hissed inaudibly. The large tom rose from his place and stepped forward, "Who are you, and what is a kittypet like you doing in GraveClan territory?" His words were firm, and he spat out the nickname.

The savannah cat turned and fluffed out his fur "i am not a kittypet!". his brown eyes sparked angrily, he towered over the other cat being a pure bred savannah. he pulled back his lips in a hiss. the hiss sounded exactly like a snake. his long tail swished agitatedly "i am snake, a rouge and i knew that this was clan turf, i was going to ask if i could join"

Eaglestar barred his teeth defiantly, he had no fear of a rogue. Even if he did fight, he certainly did not know enough as the Clan Leader who had been a trained warrior for seasons. "Well, if you're going to join my Clan, you're going to have to show some respect, Rogue" His words were sharp and affirmative, the tabby would not tolerate treatment like this from an outsider who wished to join GraveClan.

Snake flicked his ears and retorted "ill give respect when the cat in question has earned it". his Brown eyes glittered coldly "your clan is weaker than it has been for seasons, you need me" he shook his head and his old collar moved a little as he shook himself. he stood and said "however, if you wish me to leave so much i will"

"Well, you're talking to a Clan Leader, respect is deserved wether you like it or not." This time, Eaglestar did not add a rude comment to his words. "GraveClan is as strong as ever, just few in numbers." The tom mewed cooly. His yellow-green eyes full of frustration. His thick fur was bristled along his shoulders, and his paws were a few inches into soft snow.

The savannah cat lashed his tail "how can a clan be strong if it only has a few members? the more members who are loyal the stronger the clan". The cat cooly spoke of clans as iff he had encountered then every day. "however i will submit. i am sorry for intruding i was merly curious and wanted to join your clan". he turned to go "goodday"

Eaglestar sighed, and let his fur lie flat. "I never said you could not join us, I just said you'd need to show respect first." His mew was still cool and filled with an acid not directed at the savannah cat. The tabby flicked his tail as a sign of follow-me, and bounded into the camp.

Snake nodded and followed the other cat. his large ears alert for the sound of other cats. he slunk along after the other cat.
