Snakeheart appeared and watched Heathercloud and the kits with wonder "they... they are beautiful". he purred and said "just like you heathercloud"

the currently blind sablekit angrily swatted out against the lump ontop of her. she was the one with a heart of ice and snow! she batted again at the body and mewed feebly before she turned and shoved him out of the way beginning to drink the milk

Thistlekit hissed when his sister pushed him over. He wasn't going to let a little whelp get the best of him. He had their father's heart, while obviously, Sablekit had their mother's fierce spirit. The dapple and white tom leapt forward weakly and attacked his mother's soft belly and pushed Sedgekit out of the way now.

Heathercloud purred as she watched the kits play and pull around the nest. The ginger she-cat looked up to Snakeheart, still over protective of the litter and hissed lowly at her mate. Especially from a savannah cat, the tom should understand where the young mother was coming from. She loved him, yes, but she had seen father's kill their own kits.

"Snakeheart, I know they're our kits, but maybe its best if you stay out of the nursery for a few days." The she-cat was already standing up to face the tom, as if waiting for him to challenge her judgement.

Snakeheart crouched down so he was staring into Heatherclouds eyes "yes they are our kits, so i swear before you and starclan that i would never harm them". he went to leave but he couldnt seem to tear himself away. they were his kits, and his heart was breaking at the thought of leaving them. his eyes wtched them with delight and love.

Sablekit gave a valiant hiss at her brother and began boxing his ears with her paws. her eyes opened a bright peircing blue for now that would fade to a green when she was older. she looked up and noticed how her mother was hissing at another cat. he was interesting he didnt seem harmfull. she tilted her head. still boxing thistlekits ears.

Sedgekit meowed with lots of frustration, she was being trampled by all of her siblings. The tiny she-cat was the only one that'd taken on their father's savannah coat, but would one day wield the fury of their mother's green eyes. Sedgekit squirmed and toppled out of the nest in a fuss.

Sablekit looked over at another kit and tilted her head, she reached out and yanked Sedgekit back into the nest and began clumsily grooming her. her tail lashed from side to side. her blue eyes glanced around.

Thistlekit rolled his eyes and trotted back to his edge of the nest. He ignored his mother and the cat by the entrance, he looked around and realized that Sabelkit was grooming Sedgekit. Sisterly love already sprouting, eh?

Heathercloud sighed and purred to the kits, "This is your father, Snakeheart." The light ginger she-cat bent down and licked Thistlekit with her tongue, a purr rumbling in the back of her throat.

She heard Eaglestar's call and tilted her head. What could he want now? She was with her kits, if he couldn't tell. Heathercloud turned to the litter, and said, "Stay here, my kits." Then she walked out, brushing her tail underneath her mate's chin like she had after the Four-Clan battle many moons ago.

Sedgekit purred and stayed where she was placed. Sablekit's small tongue comforted her, her older sister was her guardian in her opinion. The savannah she-cat looked up to see Heathercloud walking away after telling them to stay put and saying Snakeheart was their father. "You're our father?"

Thistlekit bounded up beside Sedgekit and looked up at the savannah tom, "Really?" The dual colored tom flicked his tail on the mossy nest, curious to hear a comfirmation from the large cat. Snakeheart was much bigger than their mother, was he just weird? Or was Heathercloud just small?

Sablekit said "hes huge! i bet hes a great warrior, he could kick your tail thistlekit!". she grinned at her brother. her green eyes glittering with feirceness. she gently cuffed her sister over the ears then hissed playfully at her father.

The large handsome Savannah said in a kind tone "I am your father, My name is Snakeheart. Your mother Heathercloud is a clan cat. i am a Savannah cat. hence why i am so much bigger than your mother". his ears twitched and he said "stay here kits we will be back soon". he purred then left for the grave stone.

Sedgekit looked over her shoulder and Sablekit and Thistlekit. "What do you think Snakeheart is? A warrior?" The savannah she-cat asked to her siblings. The golden and black girl looked back to the nursery entrance and tilted her head. She looked very similar to her father, but she was so much smaller. Would she one day be his size?

"duh! of course hes a warrior mouse brain! look how big he is!" she giggled adn gave a playfull mraw at her brother thistle. with a wave of her tail the chocolate tortoiseshell leapt at him aiming to pin him under her bigger weight. her eyes would also one day be the same fiery green as her mother seyes.

Thistlekit snarled at his sister when she leapt for him, she did not have a right to do that! The dual colored tom thrusted upward, shoving the she-cat off of him. He spat, "Attack someone else, flea-brain."

The kit turned and walked over to Sedgekit, "Well, he might be deputy. Who knows. I've seen Eaglestar, so I know he isn't Clan Leader." Thistlekit said, eyes trained on the covered nursery entrance. "Let's go out into the Clearing."

Sedgekit padded after her brother toward the nursery entrance, her tail twitching after the incident between her two siblings. The savannah she-cat sighed and walked out of the nursery, calling slightly. "Come on Sablekit, come on Leopardkit." The she-cat bounded to meet her brother and mother.

Sablekit gave a low angry hiss at her brother, she would get him for that! she shook out her chocolate and white pelt before stomping out an dheading for the gravestone. she wanted to meet the other cats of the clan! and by starclan she wasnt gonna let her brother become leader!

The handsome tom walked into the nursery and made a nest for his son, noticing that he was all alone, he again thought about returning to claim echokit also. flicking his ears he curled around birchkit for a few minutes thinking.

Heathercloud walked in, her eyes narrowing at Oakpaw through the rain. Her green eyes glowed in the weak dawn light in a fierce manner. The mother's fur was bristled and her tail was lashing side to side, a growl thick in her throat. "What are you doing here?" She spat at the former OceanClan cat. It stunned her how he was sitting so nonshalant in her nursery, she raised her haunches and unsheathed her claws, ready to attack the should-be-warrior.... and the kit.

Birchkit's heart lurched forward a step at the look of Heathercloud. The beautiful she-cat was a frightening sight to even trained warriors when she was angered, or especially when she believed she was protecting her kits outside. The brown bundle of fur dove deeper into the chest fur of his father, trying to escape from the she-cat's burning view.

Oakpaw gently licked his sons fur then said to Heathercloud "Eaglestar allowed me into the clan" his eyes glittered "take your anger up with him not my kit" his voice bordered menacingly. he could also be vicious if he had to protect his son. his precious kit. his tail gently curled around his son and he bared his fangs viciously

Eaglestar wasn't surprised at his warrior's actions. The brown tabby tom rested his tail on the queen's shoulder and nodded. "His words are true, you must accept him, Heathercloud." He paused. "In the mean time, would you consider watching young Birchkit when his father his out hunting and patrolling for the Clan?" The Clan Leader waited then walked into the Clearing, he had a warrior ceremony to attend to.

Hearing his name called Oakpaw stood and gently nuzzled his kit into the nest "wait here son, ill be back soon" he licked his sons head then turned and lifted his strong wide face high. his amber eyes flashed a warning to the queen that if she laid a claw on his son he personally would make sure that she would never sleep again
