Blackrock

The large warrior pushed out his paws i strong strokes and hauled himself from the water and onto the jagged rockface. He bounded from stone to stone as he went higher. A tradition in an OceanClan final assessment was that the apprentice was to jump from the summit of Blackrock and into the water. It showed their determination and courage, it was the start of the ceremony.

Featherpaw followed her friend's footsteps until she was at the top of the large rock. She looked down and almost leapt out of her fur. That was a huge fall, did Creekfeather really expect her to jump that? Without being forably pushed? "Yikes!"

"C'mon. Jump, if you don't you won't become a warrior." His meow was neutral, he was also generally curious to see how they would jump and who would jump first. Creekfeather's ears flicked with interest.

The dual-colored she-cat edged closer again and her ears flattened in terror. Featherpaw then realized she had to, what was the point of training if she'd stop here? The apprentice started to count. "One...two...three!" She yowled and leapt forward into the air, before landing in the salty water below.

Creekfeather chuckled as they counted off and leapt. The oriental then padded down the rocky climb once more and slipped back into the smooth waves. "Let's go, now Battle is next." The tom turned and swam to shore.

Featherpaw screeched in shock as she hit the water and immediately started swimming back to shore along side Creekfeather. "I am never doing that again," She hissed. "I nearly died."

"You can't do anything without Lilystar's say so." Creekfeather mewed in a humorous tone. "Now hurry up." He called as he headed toward the Palm Forest.
