The City

A place of rushing monsters and lots of twolegs. Rogues and Loners are often seen here, wouldn't it be odd to see a Clan cat here?

Maplewing found herself sleeping in a pipe underneath one of the thunderpaths. She had encountered smelly and old twolegs in the allyways, and they'd throw bottles at her as they huddled around small fires. The tawny she-cat was cold, and wet. She coughed several times, and she was very hungry. She felt her world fading in and out and she fell into a sleepy blackness.

Sparrowclaw found the tawny she-cat, she looked horrible. Good thing he'd caught a raven in the forest by Fourtrees. He dropped the bird by the former clan-cat's paws and nudged her. "Maplewing, Maplewing. It's me, Sparroclaw."

Maplewing looked up weakly at Sparrowclaw. Her thoughts drifting, she couldn't think straight. The kits were born only several minutes before their father arrived. They were sucking meekly at her belly, but nothing came to feed them. They were both small and weak, mimicking their father's oriental gray pelt. Maplewing smiled, then fell, to StarClan.

Sparrowclaw sighed, she was dead. The oriental looked at the weak kits and bounded away with them towards SkyClan. They'd be safe there... or should he take them somewhere else? SkyClan didn't have any nursing queens to care for them... but he'd risk it. His kits would be SkyClan.
