The Nursery

This is the nursery. A small cave with much protection around it.

Jaykit curled up in his nest all alone. He put the tip of his tail over his nose and closed his eyes. A wave of saddness swept over the kit before he drifted into sleep.

When jaykit opened his eyes he realised that he was dreaming, there was another cat in his dream. the pretty silver she cat from earlier that day. she was sleeping as well. an urge to wake her up came over him...

Jaykit blinked open his eyes. He was dreaming. The tom kit saw the silver kit from earlier and prodded her in the side with his paw. "Um, hello?" he said.

She opened her brilliant green eyes and stared at him with shock "oh hey, im silverkit i dont think that we got to introduce ourselves properly before". her eyes saddened as she remebered sootflower killing her father. she would get revenge for her papa.

"Hi I'm Jaykit." He sensed sadness come over the she-kit. He didn't know how to conformt her so he just shuffled his paws.

She stared around, they were on a wide open plain, she sighed and said "do you think this is a real dream?". she lashed her tail and moved over to him. she admired the name Jaykit. she had always liked Jays. they would sometimes come to the oceanclan camp and talk to her.

"I don't know." He said uncertantly. "I must be dreaming." he said with a grin and shook his head. "It would be crazy to really see that kit in my dreams for real!" He said.

She flicked her ears and said "but i am real i fell asleep not to long ago!, and then i dreamt that i was galloping over here then fell asleep again, and then YOU woke me up so we must be sharing a dream!". her Green eyes glittered with wonder and happiness "cool, i dont think that there are many kits in the clans at the moment"

"Many kits" He snorted. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm the only one. No siblings, no parents. Even though your father may be dead, just to have a mother is lucky." He murmured longingly.

Silverkit said "in Skyclan there is a kit named tigerkit". her eyes flashed at the name skyclan. "fireclan should pay for what they did!". she then said to Jaykit. "well you have me to play with in your dreams now!"

Jaykit shrugged. "I guess so." he said and pounced on Silverkit. "Let's play warrior and mouse. I'll be the warrior, you'll e the moue." he said playfully.

She instantly retorted "why do i have to be the mouse? there might be dream mice around here that we can practise stalking!". she began sniffing the air her whiskers twitching adorably. she pointed over at a hole and whispered* "there"

Jaykit shrugged. "Whatever." he muttered but followed her anyway. He looked at the size of the hole and fished his paw in there, feeling for any life.

Silverkit grinned and lashed her tail she moved and tackled him pinning him down she said "playfightings much more fun!" her eyes glittered with a need to forget about the troubles of her awake world

Jaykit squealed in pain as Silverkit tackled him. His paw was still in the hole and it had got banged into the side of it. He swiped a paw with claws out at Silverkit. He gasped and saw what he almost did. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry! It was reflex!"

Silverkit smiled"its ok! we are friends right! so no harm done". she purred and gently bumped her head against jaykits. she smiled "we learnt lots of new battlemoves from that battle wana practise them incase the stinky sky and fire clan return?"

"Yeah!" He growled playfully. He ducked and rolled under Silverkit, knocking her paws out from under her. "Take that!" he yowled in the dream.

She fell on her belly and got back up she leapt forward and lightly gripped his muzzel with her teeth. she gave a playfull growl. as she grinned at him. her pretty silver pelt shining in the night.

Jaykit grinned and pushed her away with his forepaws. His brown and black pelt rippling. He was about ready to be an apprentice. Maybe he could see Silverkit at the gathering and see if this really wasn't a dream. He smiled at her and sat down, licking his chest fur. "So what now?"

she shrugged and said "we could journey through the land and inspect stuff if ya wanted"

Jaykit shook his head. "I don't feel like exploring right now." he said. "Sorry."

she nodded and mewed "i had better wake up and talk to ma, see ya later alligator". she soon fadedand Jaykit woke up hearing eaglestar call for hiim.
